The chicken rice with NO CHICKEN and bacon bits made with crushed INSECTS: How dozens of so-called meat flavoured products don't contain a scrap of it

The key is in the headline here people. FLAVOURED.

Anyone who has eaten a chicken pot noodle and thought that those horrible chewy bits of grossness they have in them are actually chicken are clearly deluded.

Also if you don't care enough about what you are putting in your mouth and ultimately in your stomach to read the ingredients in these things, then more fool you.

I certainly don't expect my frazzles to contain actual bacon or my prawn cocktail crisps to contain prawns. If that concerned me, i'd go and make a bacon cob or a prawn cocktail....

Show Her The Money! Brooke Mueller’s Mum Moves In To Get Custody Back Of Twins So She Doesn’t Lose $55,000 In Child Support From Charlie Sheen

Really? Because Moira clearly did such a fabulous job with Brooke obviously this will definitely help!

Seriously though, this is Brooke Muellers 20th time in rehab. Quite an impressive feat...considering she's only 35 years old.

The point is though, the only thing this woman seems to be worried about is the fact that Charlie Sheen might stop her maintenance payments if she doesn't get those poor boys back into her care. She has no other form of income considering she's a failed actress and the only reason she's still in the spotlight is because she popped two sprogs by charlie and is constantly in rehab.

It's been reported that Charlie has offered the $55,000 a month to ex wife Denise Richards who currently has custody of the boys (and already receives the same amount for her own two children by Sheen), but she declined the offer.

In this case, it's definitely not in the childrens best interest to be with their mother, and if we're completely honest, probably not with their father (full time anyway) either. For the childrens sake i hope the judge see's through her plan and the boys can continue to live with Denise!

Leave Big Ears alone! Angry television viewers complain about Ikea advert featuring 'slaughter' of garden gnomes

Oh. Dear. God.

Do some people have nothing better to do? The Advertising Standards Authority has received 50 complaints about this advert from Swedish flat pack company Ikea.

Amazing. If people think that this is upsetting their children, they should probably ban them from watching television altogether, as there are far worse things than this in todays ad breaks. Failing that, they should give their kids a massive dose of man-up.

If they think it's incititing anti-social behaviour or violence, then they should not rely on the television to bring their children up for them, which i suspect they are. If you drag your little darlings eyes away from the tele for long enough, you can teach them things such as manners, respect and the fact that vandalism in real life is, of course, unacceptable.

Unless it's in your own garden, which this advert is. If you want to buy an army of ceramic people to put in your garden, then use them for some sort of target practice, that is your business. Knock yourself out!

Either way, i'm fairly sure that these 50 people need to get a life. And they definitely shouldn't watch the fabulous and absolutely hilarious childrens film, Gnomeo and Juliet. It would probably give them a cardiac arrest.

Nine in 10 children born to cohabiting couples this year will 'see parents split by the time they are 16'

Good Morning Goslings!

Todays grumble is this story from the Daily Mail. I read the daily mail a lot, mainly because it encourages my grumpy self to come out, because a lot of the things they seem to print are a complete load of rubbish. But also, some things are so ridiculous that they make me laugh. And i can't quite decide which feeling this story induces.

Nearly nine out of ten babies born to co-habiting parents this year will have seen their family break up by the time they reach the age of 16, says a study

Apparently, evidence has been found that 9 out of 10 children born to unmarried couples will see their parents split before they're 16 years old. This may well be a fact, although the report fails to mention any other variables, such as out of the married couples in the sample, how many had been previously married? what was the  religious belief of those who had stayed together? Out of those who were not still together, how many had escaped domestic violence? How many had split through infidelity and not just stayed in a resentful, unhappy, negative relationship? It doesn't seem like this study has taken any of these factors into consideration....

Also how many people divorce before they even have a chance to produce any children? How many were married after they reproduced and how many people can't have children at all?

You see, it's all very well championing parents who get married and stay together, but how many are actually happy marriages? How many of those children are happy? Wouldn't that be a more interesting study?

Surely it's more healthy for the children to have happy but seperated parents, than married, bitter parents who are just together 'for the kids' or can't afford to get divorced. Nobody want's to go through a break up, with or without children. But good parents know how to decide what's best for the kids, and if that means no longer being together, then so be it. As long as children have fair access to both parents (I'm all too aware that this isn't always the case, which is a whole other story, for a whole other grumbling entry), then fair enough.

I don't want to uspet anyone who is married, each to their own, but with an easy option of divorce, It means absolutely nothing to most people these days. It's just a very expensive piece of paper stating 'Til divorce do us part' with an optional name change.

All i'm saying is that if studies like this are going to be carried out, surely it's only fair to do studies into all the counter factors at the same time too....
